About Me

About Me

I am a 23 year old mathematics educator. I currently attend BYU with a double major in mathematics and math education. I have taught a few years with American Indian Services Prep program, a 6 week nonprofit program teaching STEM to 7-9th graders and will be returning as a lead instructor. I am a member of NCTM, and am actively involved in learning about new mathematics and new teaching practices.

I enjoy the outdoors and adventuring. The picture below was taken in the middle of a 90 mile rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. I also love reading and collecting coins, but rarely have time when I'm in school. Someday, maybe.

I also am engaged to be married to the most wonderful woman in the world. We will be married in the Las Vegas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on May 25th 2019. My fianceé Maddie is also a math educator, eventually we hope to both teach math in the same city. You can see her website here.

I have always loved mathematics, and especially enjoy number theory. Since I was young I've explored different patterns and conjectures about prime numbers. My dream is to be able to do research and prove Golbach's Conjecture.
